A perfect murder
A faceless witnessA lone courtroom champion knows the whole truth . . . and he's only thirteen years old

Goodreads Summary:
Meet Theodore Boone
In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he's only thirteen years old, Theo Boone thinks he's one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk—and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom.
But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than expected. Because he knows so much—maybe too much—he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth.
The stakes are high, but Theo won't stop until justice is served.
Brimming with the intrigue and suspense that made John Grisham a #1 international bestseller and the undisputed master of the legal thriller, Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer will keep readers guessing and pages turning.

My Thoughts:
Theodore Boone is a 13-year-old son of two lawyers and he dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of life in a courtroom. He often help his friends solving their problems such as divorced parents, a drunk brother who got into jail, and being a lawyer for the most popular girl at eight grade, Hallie.

One day, Julio, one of his friends told her about a cousin who was witnessing the biggest murder trial in town - Mrs. Duffy's with her husband Mr Pete Duffy as the crime suspect. And suddenly he became deep involved. Things got complicated because Julio's cousin was an illegal immigrant and he promised not to tell anyone about him so that he wouldn't get caught by the police. After all the struggle, the truth has finally revealed.

I got this book from my father as a birthday gift and it's his choice so I was thinking it might be a great book and yep it's actually pretty good but I'm not sure I like the writing style. And, actually, as a mystery book, the story is more into the job of the lawyers. I do admire him, though. Being a lawyer at a very young age must be difficult.

This kind of book might not be everyone's type. If you are a fan of legally blonde movie, Drop Dead Diva tv series, or anything that has to do with lawyers, give it a try.

3 out of 5 stars
